The Education Committee is focused on promoting the benefits of healthy soils to farmers, consumers, and students. We believe that soil health benefits everyone. It allows current farmers to be productive and profitable and opens the door for future generations to do the same.
The Next Generation Farmer Campaign teaches students the Principles of Soil Health, why soil health matters, and how healthy soils are built on farms across North Carolina.
Build relationships between students and farmers that are focused on soil health.
This allows students to gain hands-on soil health experience and provides a path towards their own opportunity in farming. It brings excitement and a fresh perspective to the farm, benefiting the student and the farmer!
Provide educators across North Carolina with resources to teach the next generation about the importance of healthy soil.
